с xmms2 таже история что с mpd - есть сервер, есть куча клиентоввикипедия подсказывает: Abraca, AlbumThing, Azrael, Blastwave, bluegroove, Camio, Esperanzaеще вроде lxmusic или lxmedia клиент для xmms2 есть
